Grogu was recently adopted by Dr Parisi and has been joining us this week at the clinic. He is very little and still only eating milk. We hope to get him eating solid food soon. Now that Lucy is back with her herd, we were all missing having a little baby around and Grogu is filling that gap! Like any kitten, he plays hard and naps harder. Grogu got his name because he has an extra large forehead like baby Yoda from the Mandalorian. Hopefully there’s a lot of brains behind the big forehead too!
Our favorite little kid, Lucy, has officially transitioned to life as a full-time outdoor goat!
Since she got plenty of supervised playtime with the herd all along, she was readily accepted right back by everyone—especially her mother. She is even spending her days playing outside with two other goat kids named Peter and Susan! Even better news: she is suckling so well that she doesn’t need bottle-feeding at all anymore.
Before making the official move back to the pasture, Lucy got in a few final indoor VIP experiences. She spent some quality couch time catching up on Clarkson’s Farm on TV with Dr. Rolfe and Margaret.
She also made a special farewell visit to Dr. Rolfe’s aunt at her senior facility, which was a massive hit. Wearing her signature diaper and onesie, Lucy ran up and down the hallways, bringing a ton of smiles to the residents and staff.
We’ll definitely miss her indoor antics, but we’re so happy to see her thriving out in the field where she belongs!
Playtime for the Kids!
Lucy is still not able to spend all of her time with the rest of the herd yet, so she gets supervised visitation every day. Here she is with her mom (in the blue collar), who is being very protective!
You’ll also see the two other kids, Peter and Susan. They were full-term and are a week older than Lucy. Their mom is the black goat.
Fun Fact: You will probably notice the enormous udders on Lucy’s mom! These are dairy goats, and momma is currently producing almost 3 litres of milk a day!
Meet Little Lucy! 🍼🐐
The Thetis Heights family just grew by four very small, very cute legs! Dr. Rolfe and Margaret have a brand new addition to their pet household: a premature baby goat named Lucy.
Our little fighter had a bit of a bumpy start and initially needed to be tube-fed. But true to the goat spirit, she is now taking a bottle like an absolute champ! (Fun fact: She turns one week old tomorrow!) 🥳
A Heads-Up for Our Visitors: Because Lucy requires regular round-the-clock feedings—and Margaret has to work semi-regularly—this little kid will be clocking some hours as our unofficial clinic mascot. Next time you drop by, keep your eyes peeled for a tiny goat rocking a pink onesie!
