Margaret

Margaret was only 16 years old when she started working part-time at a veterinary clinic in Prince George. That started an animal-care journey that hasn’t quit to this day. Now, she’s co-owner of Thetis Heights Veterinary Clinic along with her husband, Dr. Jay Rolfe!

Margaret was born in Whitehorse and grew up in Winnipeg and Prince George. She attended the Emily Carr College of Art and Design for two years, continuing to work at her local veterinary hospital, before moving to Vancouver to continue her art education. She found herself thrust back into the world of veterinary medicine when she married Dr. Jay Rolfe, whom she first met back at the clinic in Prince George.

Around the hospital, Margaret handles office management, website design, computer software issues, and interior decoration. Her favorite part of her work is interacting with the area’s pet owners and getting to know them and their pets. Additionally, she’s responsible for all of the paintings and sculptural elements you see here at the clinic! You can even commission Margaret for her work through her website. 

Margaret and her husband have four children, and her daughter Dee works right here at Thetis Heights Veterinary Clinic. The family shares their home with two cats, a turtle, and a pond full of goldfish and koi.

Dee quite literally grew up around veterinary medicine. She’s the daughter of Dr. Rolfe and Margaret! Caring for animals is simply in her blood—she couldn’t be happier to help the pets and animal owners of Vancouver Island as a part of the clinic team

Dee is currently a humanities student at the University of Victoria and plans to major in Greek and Roman studies while minoring in anthropology and American Sign Language. She joined the Thetis Heights Veterinary Clinic team officially in 2020 during a staff shortage. Dee has since proven herself a valuable asset, bringing her knowledge of the field and her love of all things fuzzy and cuddly with her to work every day! She’s especially fond of working with exotic pets that visit the clinic, including turtles and tortoises. 

In the future, Dee hopes to start a hobby farm and care for a collection of creatures all her own. At home, she and her family live with two cats, a turtle, and multiple fish. They plan on getting goats and possibly a donkey in the near future!

Jasmine

Jasmine

Jasmine loves using her skill set to help the area’s pets and their loving owners. For her, working in the veterinary field is a dream come true! 

Jasmine joined the team in October of 2018 and has proven a wonderful addition to the clinic. In the future, Jasmine wants to pursue further education to become a Registered Veterinary Technologist.
